I was listening to a news item recently which mentioned that the government is no longer subsidizing health funds for alternative treatments.
There is, of course, no proof whatsoever of naturopathy (or any other quackery such as chiropractic and acupuncture) working and it is no wonder the government is not prepared to fork out public money for such absurdness.
Religious preachers and natural therapists have been in the business of deceiving people since time immemorial and what makes them even worse is that they ply their trade on those who are naive, gullible, weak and vulnerable.
So, isn't it time that governments stop religious organizations being exempt from paying taxes?
